A new L’cha Dodi, performed at the URJ Biennial on December 11, 2019 at the Emerging Artists Music Lab.Music and lyrics by Ellie Flier, Julia Motis, Jacob Ruden, and Sarah Ruden. About the song:I love Shabbat, and I love Friday night services, and I love when we get to officially welcome in Shabbat with L’Cha Dodi. It’s a beautiful poem in Hebrew, but for me it’s the music that really makes it special. But I decided that I wanted to write a new kind of L’cha Dodi, one that described the feeling I get when I sing L’cha Dodi.Video recorded via Facebook Live by Susan Shane LinderOther singers (left to right):Rabbi Noam Katz, Beth Hamon – Music, Jackson Vance Mercer, Rob Aronson, Rory Michelle Sullivan, Sue Radner Horowitz#jewishmusic #urjbiennial #newjewishmusic #musiclab #jewishnashville
